The Metairie Road St. Patrick's Day Parade is one of the biggest and best St. Patrick's Day events in the New Orleans area.
The parade starts at Rummel High School (intersection of 41st Street and Severn Avenue)travels South on Severn Avenue, then goes down a long path on Metairie Road before ending at the parish line (intersection of Focis and Canal Streets).
Bring the family along and celebrate while small floats toss cabbages, toys, and beads to the crowd. Don't forget to wear your green or celebratory St. Patrick's Day garb!
