EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR TREATMENT OF YOUTH WITH CO-OCCURRING DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND SERIOUS EMOTIONAL DISTURBANCE
The Louisiana Department of Health, Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) and Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) are co-sponsoring an education and training program to support effective behavioral health treatment for youth with co-occurring developmental disabilities (DD) and serious emotional disturbance (SED).
Eligible participants: Behavioral Health Clinicians licensed in the State of Louisiana as LCSWs, LPCs, or Psychologists, who serve Medicaid-eligible youth.
Session #1: Thursday April 25th from 9 am to 12 noon. MEB Seminar 6, room 3220.
Session #2: Thursday May 9th from 9 am to 12 noon: MEB Seminar 7, room 3224
***Participants must attend both sessions****
Location and Parking
Participants can park on the first floor of the South Roman Street Parking Garage in guest parking (paid, $1/hour). Free street parking is sometimes available but hard to find.
Participants may then take the elevator or stairs to the third floor of the parking garage. On the walkway/bridge connecting the building, go straight to the end where a sign will point to the Medical Education Building - walk to the third floor to seminar rooms. (If elevators are needed, enter the Nursing Building and take the elevators to the third floor- enter the MEB at the back of the coffee stand). https://www.lsuhsc.edu/maps/downtown.aspx#none
