Ashé Cultural Arts Center presents UNstaged every 2nd Saturday, starting May 11th, taking place in the "front room" from 7-9PM! This series of "unfiltered", "tiny desk"-esque concerts is designed to showcase musical innovators in sound, spoken word, and cultural connotation, creating bridges between our past, present, and future. A mix of raw performances, unique collaborations, live art, and one-of-a kind experience, UNstaged aims to establish connections between artists, audiences, and beyond. First up to the UNstage is dynamic singer, songwriter, and storyteller, New Orleans' own Caren Green! Inspired by gospel, jazz, classical, soul, and hip-hop, Green is a virtuous virtuoso on the mic. To be in her audience is to experience something otherworldly and divine. "The first moment that I heard this Queen sing, I knew I had experienced one of the greatest singers to grace a stage."
