Let's Talk More Trash! is a two-day conference with representatives from the Department of Sanitation, Break Free from Plastic, Schmelly's Dirt Farm, LSU AgCenter, Urban Conservancy, Compost NOW and more.
Our goal is to highlight the intersectionality between the issues of waste diversion and recycling, composting and soil health, urban farming, green infrastructure and stormwater management, landfills and land use, climate change, greenhouses gas emissions, carbon sequestion and more.
Day 1: Friday, March 29th -- Main Library  Auditorium at 219 Loyola Avenue, second floor.
Registration begins at 10:30. Lunch will be served at 12:30pm. Conference ends at 4:00pm. 
Day 2: Saturday, March 30th -- Rosa Keller Library Community Room at 4300 S Broad
Please note EventBrite will only list a single event location but Day 2 of the conference (Saturday, March 30) will be held at the Rosa Keller Library and Community Center in Broadmoor.
10:30am       Registration begins
11:00am       Opening Panel: Food / Waste in Greater New Orleans
12:00-12:45  Break Free From Plastic 
12:45-1:25    Lunch: will be provided free of charge to those who RSVP by March 27th.
1:30-2:30      Resiliency Efforts & Storm Water Management
2:35-3:35      Compost, Urban Farming & Healthy Soil
3:40-4:10      Climate Change: Greenhouse Gases & Carbon Sequestration
4:10-4:30      Closing Discussion & Call to Action(s)
Note: Library closes at 5pm so we need to be out by 4:45pm. Our regular frozen food waste collection at Rosa Keller Library will still be held from 10:30am - noon at the lower level deck in bak of the library.

This event is free and open to the public, but donations much appreciated to help defray costs - especially for lunch. If you are vegan or have any food allergies, please email me at lynneserpe.nola@gmail.com so that we can *try* to accomodate your dietary needs.
