In partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans' Amiel BaKehila program, the NOLA VFW is hosting Isreal Defense Force Brigadier General Bentzi Gruber. The presentation will cover "Leadership and Ethics in the Israeli Defense Force" and is open to the Jewish community and New Orleans VFW members and the area military members. Light appetizers and beverages will be served.
Speaker Bio:
Brigadier General Bentzi Gruber is Vice Commander (reserves) of Division 252, an armoreddivision of 20,000 soldiers. As an entrepreneur, he has established Internet startups, been areal-estate developer, and initiated biotech research. He is the founder of “Chesed in the Field,” anon-profit that brings together IDF reservists and chronically ill and disabled children for specialevents throughout the year, instilling the values of community and social responsibility in thehearts of thousands of soldiers.
Gen. Gruber lectures on ethics, social responsibility, and leadership to IDF commanders andofficers across Israel, in order to ensure that the IDF remains the most ethical army in theworld. His commitment and dedication to education has had a profound impact on thousandsof soldiers in the Israeli military.
A graduate of Yeshivat Har Etzion and the Jerusalem Institute of Technology (Machon Lev), Gen.Gruber received a PhD from The International University of Business and Law (London).
