Parking

The Tampa Channelside District has numerous parking garages you can use: Channelside parking garage, Tampa Convention Center Garage, the South Regional Garage, the Ft. Brooke Garage, and the Whiting Street Garage. Know that parking spots in these areas could go fast. You need be aware of road closures in the Channelside area, so check out this map from the City of Tampa on road closures in the area.

The William F. Poe Parking Garage is on the other side of downtown adjacent to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park might be the right spot: park on one side of Downtown Tampa and take a romantic New Year's Eve stroll on the Tampa Riverwalk to your Tampa New Year's Eve destination. 

Ybor City: Check out the Centro Ybor garage for parking. Remember you can park in Ybor and take the TECO Line Streetcar System into downtown Tampa. The streetcar is free and will be running from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve to make sure you can get where you need to go safely. While in Ybor, check out the Eden Tampa: New Year's Eve Party for Women Who Love Women! It will begin on Dec 31, 7:00 PM, and go until Jan 1, 3:00 AM.

Ride-sharing: Uber one of the most popular ride-sharing services in the world and an option get where you are going in Tampa. Tip: watch out for the price surge that will be at its peak after midnight. The same thing for Lyft Tampa Bay: it might actually be cheaper to take a taxi if you can find one because they aren't allowed to change their pricing during times of high traffic.

Also, don't forget the Pirate Water Taxi is available for a beautiful ride along the river to get from one side of Tampa to the other on New Year's Eve.
