Description
Want a taste of New Orleasn that even the locals miss, take a ride out to Bullets (unfortunate name in this city) Sports Bar on a Tuesday night to see how the 7th ward cut loose.
Local legend Kermit Ruffins plays all over the city, always a good show, but Bullets is just a bit different. Driving to the neighborhood you can still se remnants of Katrinas wrath...the bar isn't a bar as you'd think, but a typical old style New Orleans spot, looking more like a speakeasy. The huge, wide open downstairs of a giant house right in the middle of a neighborhood...and lucky neighbors indeed.
You order booze and they'll bring you a bottle and set-ups, including ice, to fix your own. The tables will be filled with locals enjoying themselves, so get there early. And come hungry, there will be a guy grilling outside...mixed rib plates or pork chop sandwiches on white bread are always good. Get to know Bullet's Sports Bar
