Service is hit-or-miss, but staggering orders keeps items from coming all at once. A wide range of salads, tapas, soups, tempura, udon and teriyaki frame the main attraction: sushi, served exceptionally fresh in thick, long pieces over sticky rice with just the right tang. Single-piece prices foster greater variety, allowing for more exotic picks like sea urchin, baby soft shell crab and salmon roe with raw quail egg.
