Huey P.'s Pizzeria: Built in 1895, this historic structure first opened as Gretna Pharmacy and Gretna Cut Rate Drug Store. Since then, the building has served westbank residents as a dentist office, shoe store, law office, mortgage office, and campaign headquarters. In September 2010, Huey P.'s pizzeria opened at 139 Huey P. Long Ave. by Donovan and Betty Archote and quickly garnered the reputation for serving the best thin crust pizza and coldest beer in metro New Orleans. Birthday parties are fun at Huey P's Pizzeria. Your children will learn to make their own pizza for only $15 per child + tax and gratuity. There is a minimum of 10 children per party and a maximum of 20 children. Huey P's Pizzeria provides chef hats for your child to use ONLY during the party. The aprons can be ordered with each children's name and purchased before the day of the party by calling Stephanie Armstrong at Names by Design. Cakes, decoration and specialized desserts can be ordered from Deborah Chermie at One Smart Cookie. After a complete nine innings game, a twenty minute period, or a four quarter game come to celebrate your team's victory at Huey P's Pizzeria. Adults come watch your favorite sports games on our several flat screen TV's while drinking the coldest beer, poured at 32 degrees, in the New Orleans area.
