JSRI's main activities include: Research and Analysis The institute conducts, gathers, and publishes research on social and economic conditions of the poor, migrant, and ethnic communities in the Gulf South. Education Through presentations, conferences, and publications, the Institute seeks to educate the university, faith, and civic communities. The JustSouth Quarterly and JustSouth E-newsletter, JSRI's publications focus on current issues and initiatives dealing with poverty, race, and migration. Advocacy JSRI advocates for those affected by injustice through lobbying, public events, and offering assistance to other advocates by providing background research and undertaking campaigns promoting values of the common good and the preferential option for the poor.
