In 2010, voters affirmed a City Council law to change NORD, through the formation of the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission, included 13 group pioneers named by the Mayor. It additionally accommodated the arrangement of the NORD Foundation, a not-for-profit association to fill in as a raising support body.
