This is a Basic Safety and Use course for the Epilog Mini 24 Laser, with additional material for teachers of grade school courses in making. During the course, you will come to understand how to operate this equipment in a safe manner, and demonstrate your ability to do so with a small, basic project, and gain an insight to how this equipment can broaden the scope of your classroom. This course contains a brief overview of the equipment, followed by detailed safety instruction, a basic lesson in one of the softwares used to interface with the laser cutter, and a practical instruction and application period.
