This annual event will bring together roughly 6,500 educators and content experts who are focused on creating meaningful growth for every student, every day. Educators will share their knowledge, learn new skills, and prepare for the 2019-2020 school year.
Summit Objectives
Improve the everyday practice of educators in Louisiana by building their knowledge and skill in key areas related to their role
Provide opportunities for educators to collaborate and share best practices
Introduce high-quality resources and professional development that can be adopted and scaled in schools and school systems across Louisiana
Foster a culture that celebrates and engages educators and empowers and inspires them to take on an even greater leadership role within their classrooms, schools and school systems
Registration
Registration for the Summit will occur in three phases:
early bird registration (January 9, 2019, through March 31, 2019),
regular registration (April 1, 2019, through June 14, 2019), and
on-site registration will occur upon your arrival.
School systems will not receive a specific allotment of seats. Some sessions at the Summit will require pre-registration. You will receive a notice when sessions are added. Registration will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Registration Fees
To help offset the cost of running a high-quality, multi-day event for thousands of Louisiana educators, the LDOE will charge a small registration fee for the 2019 Teacher Leader Summit. This fee will cover:
Admission to the conference
Conference sessions
Lunch
Educators can receive a discount by registering early and by registering for all three days at once. Educators can choose to not eat the lunch provided, but may not opt out of the registration fee.
Cancellations, Refunds, and Exchanges
Individuals may cancel their registration at any time through EventBrite.
To receive a refund of registration fees (minus processing fee), individuals must cancel their registration no later than June 16, 2019, 10 days before Summit begins. No refunds will be issued after June 16, 2019. The refund will automatically be credited to registrants’ account within 5–7 business days.
